Here’s a poem that (if you live in Central VT) starting in April you will be able to find posted up at That’s Life Soup in Montpelier for their annual Poem City event.
When the glowing bulb strains to erupt through your soil:
hurt beautiful expansion.
Weep raw into tender seedlings
grow through uncomfortable ballooning of ripping tissues,
push through yourself,
molt your casing, step out from scarred wrapper
skin so fresh it burns.
fearlessly expose all of yourself
in the cooling rain of grace.
Nothing can touch you
when you touch everything.
